We recently had the opportunity to help Capital Forest in Blackburn Hamlet, Ottawa by providing clearance pruning around their headquarters.
Capital Forest is a non-profit organization dedicated to planting trees and expanding forest cover throughout the National Capital Region. Their facility regularly receives large deliveries of trees, and over time, nearby branches had begun interfering with trucks entering and backing into the property.
Creating safe access for tree deliveries
The goal of this project was to provide additional clearance for the trucks responsible for transporting thousands of young trees for future planting projects.
The pruning work focused on:
- Removing branches that were contacting delivery trucks
- Improving access to the site
- Creating additional clearance for large vehicles
- Maintaining the health and structure of the existing trees
By carefully pruning only the necessary branches, we were able to improve access while preserving the mature trees on the property.

The access route is now clear for delivery trucks, helping Capital Forest continue its important work without interference from overhanging branches.
